Regional Law No. 27 of August 7, 2013
Regulation of Bed and Breakfast (B&B) Hospitality Activities
A “family-run B&B” is defined as a hospitality activity carried out on a non-continuous and non-professional basis by individuals who, in their own residence, provide lodging and breakfast in no more than three rooms and for no more than nine guests, utilizing the normal household organization, including any domestic helpers employed by the family, and without offering additional services.
The family-run B&B activity must be conducted in a single housing unit by someone who resides there permanently for the entire period during which they declare they are hosting guests.
The family-run B&B activity may be offered for a minimum of ninety (90) and a maximum of two hundred seventy (270) days per year.
Running a family-run B&B does not require registration with the Business Register and benefits from the tax advantages provided under current legislation.
